The annual collection of school supplies which was organized by Eva Counselling Center is over. With the supplies the Center was donated, they were able to support 137 socially disadvantaged children.

The staff and the residents of the St. Francis Home would like to invite you to celebrate the occasion of the Day of Saint Francis of Assisi.

It was ten years ago when the Czech Republic had been struck by the devastating floods. The Czech Republic Charity helped hundreds of households, both directly during the floods and also afterwards, when the new houses and homes started to be built. There were dozens of people helping – employees of the Charity, but also over one thousand volunteers, some of them even from Poland and Croatia.

Eva Counselling Centre keeps helping the endangered families in 2012. This kind of social services has deep-rooted origins – Eva Counselling Centre has been helping the families since 2005. The project, which is focused on family social services in field, was established on the basis of the experience we had from meetings with our female clients who used to come to the Counselling Centre with the problems considering the whole families.

“The Debt Trap Help Project 2012” is being realized by “Eva” Counselling Center this year. The goal of the project is to offer our debt counselling services to all the women who have the debt problems – we can help you to get your bearings in this difficult situation and thus to manage it more easily.

To forget, at least for a while, the sad life they lead in their homeland, where they have to live in very difficult and for us unimaginable life conditions – this is the goal of the nine-day-long recovery stay which was prepared for the Belarusian children. These children are going to arrive from Prague on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the main train station in České Budějovice at 9:56 a.m.

Who would be please so kind and donated the school supplies? Please, help the socially disadvantaged children!  We accept any kind of the school supplies for the children from our client families – pens, crayons, watercolours, tempera colours, paintbrushes, notebooks, school bags, pencil cases...

Tragic news from Kwekwe, Zimbabwe – on May 28 at 10 p.m., a fire broke out in one of the bedrooms in the orphanage.

On June 7, 2012 the Charity Week was commenced at the premises of South Bohemian Regional Council. The Charity Week is a common project of South Bohemian Region and the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice and is under the patronage of the Deputy Governor Mrg. Ivana Stránská. Activities of the Diocesan Charity in the fields of social and health services, which have twenty-year-long tradition, are going to be presented during the Charity Week.
