Epiphany Collection (Three Kings collection)
The charity function of Epiphany Collection (Three Kings collection) organized by the Czech Republic Charity is the biggest charity event held in the country, and 2011 was the eleventh year when the České Budějovice Diocese also participated.
Proceeds of the Collection are earmarked to help the diseased, disabled, the senior citizens and poorly-off mothers with children, but also to relieve other social groups of needy people, particularly those living at locations where the Collection is organized. As every year no less than one tenth of the yield was used to fund humanitarian aid dispensed abroad.
As organized this year, 2011, the organizers sent to the streets of our towns and villages 1250 groups of carol singers (about 3750 volunteers) and the proceeds amounted to 3.6 million Czech crowns. The Collection follows fixed rules. Each group is headed by an adult carrying a Carol Singer ID Card. Walking door to door and along streets, the groups sing carols, convey the joyful message of Christmas to people and present them with small gifts. Using the occasion, the carolers ask for financial contributions to be dropped into an officially sealed box marked with the Charity logo.
The Collection can also be supported by sending a gift SMS at 87 777 worded DMS KOLEDA.

The thirteenth Epiphany Collection in the České Budějovice diocese has successfully finished. The proceeds of the Collection are CZK 4,025,130 which is CZK 154 624 more than it was the previous year. There were 51 registered places where the carollers went carol-singing in order to raise money to support social and humanitarian projects both in our region as well as abroad.

Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice Looks for Volunteers for the Epiphany Collection
The Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice is in need of volunteers for the Epiphany Collection, which will take place as usual in the first days of January 2013. The carollers will carol daily, usually after 4pm.
Competition Results – The Best Epiphany Photo in České Budějovice Diocese
On March 2, 2012, the evaluation of the Three Kings Collection by coordinators from the whole Diocese took place. Along with the Collection itself, they also chose the best photographs from the Three Kings Collection 2012 carolig.
