Diocesan Charity Looks for a Volunteer to Assist Temporarily with Folding Clothes

Diocesan Charity Looks for a Volunteer to Assist Temporarily with Folding Clothes

The EVA Counselling Center for girls and women in need was caught in crisis operation. Thus, they’d need a volunteer to help them with the closet organisation from the beginning of May 2013. It would mean helping one day a week for 1-2 hours, which in total means helping approximately four times. We are asking for help, because three out of five of our workers are currently ill, or are taking care of their sick children. The two who remained healthy have to take care of the whole Center and they daily provide help to approximately 20 clients. In the following text, you will learn further details about work which is done in the closet.

Charity Workers Help Amnestied Prisoners and Their Families

The amnesty granted by the Czech Republic President Václav Klaus affects also the workers of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice. Those who ask them for help most often are the families of those who were amnestied, or the amnestied prisoners themselves, who currently are not in jail – that is those, who were released on parole or those who were sentenced to community service. The workers also help them to find and provide them with accommodation and food.

EVA Counselling Center Helps Indebted People

EVA Counselling Center Helps Indebted People

Are you being troubled with debts? EVA Counselling Center (organization working alongside the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice) provides a long-term system of help with over-indebtedness to women and their families which have financial problems – in other words, when they are no longer able to redeem their obligations. Over-indebtedness is a burden for the whole family and poses the risk of possible loss of their home, and it also threatens the whole stability of the family. No need to mention the negative impact it has on children living in indebted families.

Help to the Endangered Families

Help to the Endangered Families

Eva Counselling Centre keeps helping the endangered families in 2012. This kind of social services has deep-rooted origins – Eva Counselling Centre has been helping the families since 2005. The project, which is focused on family social services in field, was established on the basis of the experience we had from meetings with our female clients who used to come to the Counselling Centre with the problems considering the whole families.
