The 2nd Annual “Week of Charity” will take place in towns of South Bohemian region in the course of the months September, October and November 2013.
The budget of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice is 2.5 million CZK short
They cut down their activities and they are laying off their employees. The Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice as well as the local charities that cooperate together are trying to save money as much as they can, however, the deficit in 2013 budget equals 10 million CZK. “We are communicating with the regional authorities as well as with the representatives of the individual cities in order to raise the money we need,” said the directress of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice Mgr. Michaela Čermáková.

The Czech Republic Charity Prize 2012

This year´s Czech Republic Charity Prize was ceremonially awarded on Tuesday, September 25, in St. Thomas Church in Prague, which is located at the Lesser Town. The prizes were awarded by the Czech Republic Charity Director, Oldřich Haičman, and by the Czech Republic Charity President, Bishop Pavel Posád. In total, there were nine prizes to be awarded and each of the eight archdiocesan and diocesan charities, as well as the Greek Orthodox Charity, nominated their own candidate for this prize. The candidates were either the workers of the charities, volunteers or significant donors.

The Charity Week – South Bohemian Region and the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice

On June 7, 2012 the Charity Week was commenced at the premises of South Bohemian Regional Council. The Charity Week is a common project of South Bohemian Region and the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice and is under the patronage of the Deputy Governor Mrg. Ivana Stránská. Activities of the Diocesan Charity in the fields of social and health services, which have twenty-year-long tradition, are going to be presented during the Charity Week.
Romanian Children to Come for Recovery Stay to the Czech Republic

Eight children from the children´s home Kasa Noastra Zaguženi are going to spend six weeks in České Budějovice at their recovery stay, which is provided for them by Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice. They are going to arrive on Wednesday, June 13.
