Information for Adoptive Parents – Cross-Border Adoption, Belarus
Dear adoptive parents and sponsors,
In November 2011, there had been major changes in the Pinsk diocese of the Roman Catholic Church. The new director, Pavel Chaljavkin, was appointed and the headquarters was relocated from Novaja Myš to Černavčicy in the Brest region.
At the beginning of December 2011, the director Pavel Chaljavkin personally visited the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice, where he and the local executives settled the new conditions for the foreign humanitarian aid cooperation.
Conclusions of this meeting:

The Gomel region is going to be included into the Pinsk diocese. Disabled children from this diocese who bear the health consequences of The Chernobyl disaster are going to be included into the project.
- Currently adopted children will remain in the project
- Adoptions of disabled children from the children´s home in the Gomel region are going to be offered.
Information considering the number of the adopted children (up today):
- Africa – Zimbabwe: 79 adoptions in total, from which 69 are active and 26 to be chosen from
- Belarus: 146 adoptions in total, from which 56 are active and 17 to be chosen from
