This project started under the auspices of the Deputy Governor of the South Bohemia Region, Ivana Stránská.

ENERGIE AG BOHEMIA s.r.o., into which in the Czech Republic belong companies, such as ČEVAK, VAK Beroun, VS Chrudim, VODOS Kolín, VHOS Moravská Třebová and AQUA SERVIS, pledged to contribute to this humanitarian project with one haler sum of their profit for every sold 1m³ of water. “This year, the sum was 352,765 Crowns,” says Jiří Heřman, the General Manager of ČEVAK a.s.

“Thanks to the money we were remitted this year, we are able to repair three wells which can serve for 10-15 thousand people, or we can build a new well or buy three new pumps,” adds Regional Council President Deputy, Ivana Stránská.

The goal of this project is to secure the residents of Kilwa-Kasenga diocese in Congo the access to drinking water and to decrease child mortality as a result of illnesses caused by drinking polluted water.

“Since this project started, ENERGIE AG BOHEMIA s.r.o. has in this manner contributed with the sum of 994,083 Crowns,” adds the Directress of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice, Michaela Čermákova.
