Charity celebrated Its 20th Anniversary
On November 24, 2011, the Diocesan and City Charity celebrated its 20th anniversary. The whole event took place under the patronage of Mayor of České Budějovice.
At this occasion, the concert and exhibition of humanitarian aid in Congo were held. Both the concert and the exhibition took place at The Otakar Jeremiáš Concert Hall. Apart from the guests from the general public; churchmen, the representatives of charity, the region and municipality came, too.
Participants of the event were: Bishop Pavel Posád, President of the Czech Republic Charity; President of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice, P. Hugo Josef Pitel; O. Praem; Directors of the Charities, Mgr. Michaela Čermáková and Mgr. Josef Hes; Mayor of České Budějovice, Mgr. Juraj Thoma; Deputy of the Mayor of České Budějovice, Mgr. Petr Podhola; Head of the Regional Office Department of Social Affairs and Health, Mgr. Petr Studenovský; Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Doc. Tomáš Machula; and foreign guests from Diocesan Charity in Linz (Austria) and Diocesan Charity in Gomel (Belarus).
All the guests assessed the work of the Charity as highly professional and with a broad coverage throughout the whole region.
