The Czech Republic Charity Commemorates 100-year flood
It was ten years ago when the Czech Republic had been struck by the devastating floods. The Czech Republic Charity helped hundreds of households, both directly during the floods and also afterwards, when the new houses and homes started to be built. There were dozens of people helping – employees of the Charity, but also over one thousand volunteers, some of them even from Poland and Croatia.
Fire in Kwekwe Children´s Home
Tragic news from Kwekwe, Zimbabwe – on May 28 at 10 p.m., a fire broke out in one of the bedrooms in the orphanage.
The Charity Week – South Bohemian Region and the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice
On June 7, 2012 the Charity Week was commenced at the premises of South Bohemian Regional Council. The Charity Week is a common project of South Bohemian Region and the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice and is under the patronage of the Deputy Governor Mrg. Ivana Stránská. Activities of the Diocesan Charity in the fields of social and health services, which have twenty-year-long tradition, are going to be presented during the Charity Week.
Romanian Children to Come for Recovery Stay to the Czech Republic
Eight children from the children´s home Kasa Noastra Zaguženi are going to spend six weeks in České Budějovice at their recovery stay, which is provided for them by Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice. They are going to arrive on Wednesday, June 13.
Meeting with the Father Bishop at the End of May
A festive meeting with Bishop Pavel Posád at Virgin Mary Sacrifice monastic church, which is located at the Piarist Square in České Budějovice, took place at the end of May.

In November 2011, there had been major changes in the Pinsk diocese of the Roman Catholic Church. The new director, Pavel Chaljavkin, was appointed and the headquarters was relocated from Novaja Myš to Černavčicy in the Brest region.
