On Thursday 30th of July 2013 we are off for a summer camp called Journey to Africa
This is the seventh time we are organising the summer camp for 16 children from families which are being helped by Advisory centre Eva. In the period of the 30th of July to the 5th of August 2013 we are going to spend our time going through african adventures at a small farm near Hluboka (Borovany).
Fully occupied capacity shows our summer camp to be very popular among children. Most of them participate regulary and are very impatient and exited a long time before the next summer camp takes place. This year the main topic is Journey to Africa. African spirit will unify the whole time at the camp. There are plenty of thematic games and other activities prepared for childrem, e.g. making jewellery, sleeping under wide sky, palm plaster cast or getting to know african wildlife. There will also be rafting which is so much appreciated by children. (Rafts will be rented from the raft company Ka-servis,Ceske Budejovice). Last but not least children can look forward to a lecture with it´s accompanying programme by the police from the Ceske Budejovice department.
Thanks to this week full of entertainment children will get to know new activities and games. They will also learn new information about (not only) Africa by way of educational activities. Nevertheless the main goal for all of us is, as in previeus summer camps, to have lots of fun.
Employees of Charity voluntary centre together with creative volunteers are in charge of a rich programme for children.The volunteers mentioned above are an indispensable part of our summer camp. Thanks to these extraordinary people and also to our sponsors children can benefit from spending a week going through african adventures.
