Free Soups for Homeless People in České Budějovice Since 2010
Cold? Hunger? Homeless? St. Paul Home helps the homeless people in České Budějovice. Homeless people, who for some reason decided to stay on the street even though they were offered asylum, can turn to the premises of the shelter every working day in order to eat something and warm up a bit. St. Paul Home provides these people with hot soups. In the following text, you will find out that we have been preparing food for the homeless since 2011, during the winter time even on Saturdays. You will also learn who prepares the food during the weekends and who hands it out.
The soups at the St. Paul Home were during the weekends usually handed out on Sundays, but from this winter on, they are handed out on Saturdays, always from 2 p.m. At the beginning of the project, the “weekend” soups were prepared by our volunteers, but from this winter on, they are prepared and cooked by the nuns from the Congregatio Sororum a Sanctissimo Sacramento in České Budějovice. We would like to thank them very much for their help. We would also like to thank all our volunteers who are always ready to hand out soups every Saturday. Among those volunteers is also the directress of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice Mgr. Michaela Čermáková.
