Donate Sledge or Plastic Sled for Children and Their Volunteers
Snow fell in České Budějovice and we were told that much more is going to fall, which is good news for all children! Thus, we would like to ask you if you could be please so kind and donated sledge so the children accompanied with the volunteers could enjoy the winter time. In the following text you will find out why it is “not enough” to go down the hill on plastic bags and more importantly, where to bring the sledge or the plastic sled.
The sledge would be stored at the Diocesan Charity premises where the children with their volunteers could borrow it from. If you wish to donate it, please, bring it to the Volunteer Center of the Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice (Kanovnická Street 11), every working day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Contact to be found here (Věrka Michalicová).
We know that it is of course possible to go down the hill using for example various kinds of plastic bags, but the children usually wear only plain clothes and get soaked easily (and subsequently numb with cold, and ill). This is why we need sledge or plastic sled so much. Thank you!
