To help the people struck by natural disaster immediately is also one of the objectives of the Three Kings Collection. The Diocesan Charity in České Budějovice has in this manner helped the family with two children from Libív u Dřítně, whose house has completely burned-out. “These people lost virtually everything but what they were wearing. That is why we supplied them with non-perishable foods, clothes and for the start also with 10.000 crowns,” told us Roman Tlapák, the Deputy Director of the DCH.

This was also an exemplary model of cooperation of the rescue squad and the institution whose objective is to help deserving people. “Marie Mezníková, a Fire Rescue Service psychologist, called us and told us about this sad event and about the difficult situation of the family,” explains the Deputy Director.

Although the house was insured, the insurance company has not yet communicated how much money will be the family given. Moreover, it is a common practice that the financial institutions do not refund the whole damages. “We will keep helping the family. Our help is going to be targeted, which means that we are not going to give them cash, but we could for example reimburse the invoice for the building materials and suchlike,” informed Tlapák.
