St. Francis Home
- a facility based in Veselí nad Lužnicí and having the status of an organizational unit of the České Budějvice Diocesan Charity provides sheltered accommodation to the elderly and the incapacitated. As a social service accommodation facility the Home started to operate on 10 October, 2005.
The facility offers 24/7 nursing care delivered by female staff accredited to provide social services. The medical aid is given by an assigned physician, while the nursing care and general health care are entrusted in qualified nurses hired from outside under a contract.
The facility provides social services to seniors and incapacitated persons over 60 years of age, who are partially self-reliant in movements and in self-attendance. The services are rendered in the clients' interest, considering their individual needs and fostering their activity and self-sufficiency, while striving to create living conditions most closely resembling domestic environment. We do not encourage developing dependency on the service, but respect the clients' needs and try to keep them self-reliant.
Our principle activities are pursued in adherence to Act 108/2006 Coll., On social services. Provided are:
- food;
- accommodation;
- assistance in carrying out household duties;
- educational, teaching & animating activities;
- mediation in establishing contacts with social environment;
- social & therapeutic activities;
- help in exercising rights, defending justified interests and handling personal affairs
Thanks to the favorable environment and affable people on friendly terms with each other our clients do not perceive the Home as just a place where to stay, but as a home proper
