The "Drop of Water for Congo" Project
The Drop of Water effort is a joint project of ENERGIE AG BOHEMIA, s.r.o., an Ltd company, the České Budějovice Diocesan Charity and the Linz Diocesan Charity (Austria). Launched in March 2009, the Project is patronized by Ms. Ivana Stráská, the deputy of the Governor of South Bohemian Region. Energie AG BOHEMIA, s.r.o. committed itself to contribute to the Drop of Water humanitarian project 1 haller (one hundredth of CZK) of its profit obtained in selling each 1 m3 of water. The sum thus raised will suffice to mend 3 wells for 10 to 15 thousand people, or to buy 3 new pumps. The Project aims to give the Kilwa-Kasenga Diocese population drinking water and reduce children's mortality caused by diseases attributable to using polluted water.
