Though the Charity is a non-profit organization, it cannot operate unsupported by financial backing, and the less so if it is to render quality and professional services. Information for sponsors

Support given to the non-profit organizations by corporations bespeaks of a well developed civic society and high entrepreneurial ethics. That is why the České Budějovice Diocesan Charity deeply appreciates the support. In case you would find it difficult to provide assistance to the needy directly, you are invited to act through us.

Tax concessions granted to donors

Act 586/1992 Coll., On income tax, as amended, makes it possible for the donors to deduct the worth of support donated to charity from their taxation base. Proceeding in accordance with § 15, par. 8 of the Act, the natural persons may subtract the value of gifts from the tax base provided the overall sum exceeds 2% of the base, or amounts to no less than 1000 CZK in a taxation period. The total sum, however, is not allowed to be higher than 10% of the tax base. The legal entities, proceeding pursuant to § 20, par. 8, can deduct the worth of their gifts on condition the sum total reaches at least 2000 CZK, but no more than 5% of the tax base.

Forms of support

In-kind contributions: The things you donate will be distributed among the socially underprivileged.

Collection points:

• well-preserved textile items (bed lined, towels), clothes, footwear (Charity Wardrobes; the EVA Guidance Center - prior arrangement required - tel. 00420 387 203 315; drugstore goods (Secretariat of DCHČB);
• imperishable foodstuffs before the expiration of their "use-by date";
• workable computational & electronic devices (Secretariat of DCHČB);
• office supplies & consumables (Secretariat of DCHČB);
• household appliances & furnishings - workable ranges; refrigerators; washing machines; electric kettles and any other appliances (the EVA Guidance Center - prior arrangement required, tel.: 00420 387 203 315; things for kids - toys in good condition; prams; car safety seats for children, and the like (the EVA Guidance Center - prior arrangement required, tel.: 00420 387 203 315).

Monetary assistance:

Church collections

Church collections annually organized by the České Budějovice Diocesan Charity are permitted and announced by the Bishop of České Budějovice. On the chosen day the collection thus announced takes place in all churches. Apart from the annual collections, there are extraordinary humanitarian collections held as possibly needed. An occasion repeating itself every year is the Epiphany Collection.
