The Collection of School Supplies Helped 137 Children
The annual collection of school supplies which was organized by Eva Counselling Center is over. With the supplies the Center was donated, they were able to support 137 socially disadvantaged children.
There were two ways how to help – either to donate the school supplies directly or to provide the Center with a financial support which could enable them to buy those supplies. The collection was successful and thanks to the kind help of all the donors, the Eva Counselling Center was able to support 137 socially disadvantaged children from our client families.
Eva Counselling Center specializes in helping families, which are in danger of social exclusion. The reasons for this exclusion are most often a long-term unemployment and poverty. The Center specializes not only in ambulatory counselling but since 2005 they also started providing field social services directly in the households of the clients. Thanks to this practice, the social workers can personally experience and witness the difficult life conditions that not only the adults, but also children, in the families have to face.
